Sad Day For Westport

Fin/Com voted 4 to 5 against supporting the schools use of stabilization, to cover the schools $150,000 deficit the schools currently have.

  1. Fortunately they do not decide; it's only a recommendation.

  2. Can someone post the vote detail by FinCom member. If they have political aspirations in the future the voters need to remember those names.

  3. Didn't FinCom support the massive school budget cuts between last year and this one? Aren't those cuts among the causes of the problems which Dr. Colley is trying to fix? Some of the members admitted this during the discussion when they bragged about how many years they were on the committee. Last year's budget reductions were mentioned by at least two FinCom members. FinCom is not taking responsibility for the problems they caused last year.
